FAMILY
AND YOUTH POSITION
St.
Paul's Lutheran Church and School in Waverly, Iowa, is currenty
seeking a full-time Director of Family and Youth Ministry
to establish faith-formation partnerships among church,
home, school and community. The position is weighted heavily
on interpersonal relationship skills, the ability to minister
in a Lutheran context, and demonstrated leadership and organization
skills. The Family and Youth Director will connect with
the congregation's pre-school ELCA Elementary School and
provide leadership to committees implementing solid programming
for families and youth.
Waverly
is located in Bremer County, recently rated as one of the
top ten places to live in rural America, with a wide variety
of cultural and leisure activities. The community is home
to institutions with longtime ties to the congregation:
Wartburg College, Lutheran Social Services' Bremwood Residential
Treatment Center, and Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community.
The office of the Northeastern Iowa Synod of the ELCA is
also located in Waverly.
