Special
Feature and Programs
Every Thursday morning at 8:35 am students in grades K-6
gather in the church for worship. Each week a different
class (grades 1-6) serves as worship leader. See the school
calendar for more
detail. Parents, members of the congregation, and other
community members are encouraged to join in these weekly
services.
The Baptismal Remembrance Blessing service is held on
one Thursday of each month. Students baptized during that
month come forward for an individual blessing. Kindergarten
students celebrate Baptismal Rememberance each month in
their classroom.
Offering envelopes are attached to the "school News
Note" sent home each Wednesday. Students bring their
offering to worship on Thursday, and special mission projects
are designated to receive the offering each trimester.
Gifted

4-6, and provides enrichment opportunities for all students
ingrades K-3.

St. Paul's Lutheran School and Bartels Lutheran Home share
a special ministry. Teachers and Bartels staff plan events
each school year which allow students and residents at
Bartels to partner in unique and
Fine
Arts
Students in 5th and 6th grade have the opportunity to
participate in the band and orchestra programs at the
public school. Students in grades 4-6 may also join the
St. Paul's School Choir, and 6th grade students are encouraged
to participate in a school handbell choir.
Students in grades 1-6 participate in art classes weekly,
and kindergarten and preschool students have special art
units during the year. Each year students create a ceramic
figure from the naticity scene, building a complete set
by the time they graduate from St. Paul's School.
Each class attends at least one production at one of the
area performing arts theaters each year. We also seize
special opportunities, like the special partnership and
project with a local quilt artist.
