German Iowa and Global Midwest Traveling Exhibit
The German Iowa and Global Midwest traveling exhibit will be at St. Paul's on Sept. 9-10. The exhibit discusses the history of German immigration in Iowa and the contributions of German immigrants to Iowa's culture and heritage. Many of the people who first settled in Waverly were of German heritage and a large part of the population and culture of Waverly reflects that heritage including our sister city relationship with Eisenach, Germany.
This exhibit is sponsored by the Bremer County Historical Society, the Waverly Public Library and Waverly Sister City.
