Our Week in Review

On Thursday we celebrated October baptismal remembrance during worship. Pastor Mark read the Gospel reading from Luke 17:11-19. The reading talked about how a Samaritan was cleansed and how he returned to give praise to God. Jesus told the Samaritan to “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.” During the service Pastor Mark reminded the students three ways they can say thank you to God. 1) Being kind to yourself and others 2) Worship 3) Remembering your manners-saying please and thank you!

Today I say thank you to the School Fund Committee for sponsoring our 17th Annual Fun Walk. I say thank you to Ryan Callahan for arranging for the Wartburg athletes to come and cheer us on, Scott with KWAY for the music, the Waverly Fire Department for bringing Pluggie, the 5th & 6th graders for chalking the walk, McDonald’s for the delicious apples, the School Fund Committee for the bubbles, and the parents, students, and staff for their participation. A special thank you to all the donors. We were just a little short of our $5000 fundraising goal set by our School Fund Committee. Thanks to all who participated in some way! God’s blessings to you all!
