Our Week in Review

This week during worship the second graders shared a parable that focused on the power of prayer and how it is so important to keep on praying when we need God’s help and guidance. In the sermon I gave, I shared that what Jesus wants us to learn is that God, our Heavenly Father, loves us and wants to do nice things for us and do what is right. He wants what is best for us and he has the wisdom to know what is best. We show our faithfulness by understanding that God is faithful to us. We reminded the students to not forget that God likes to hear us ask, not just once, but again and again. He doesn’t want us to ask once and then give up!

Last Sunday the Church Council “did an ask” of the congregation. The ask was to have a capital campaign to do a school remodel. Our prayers were answered and starting this summer we will be installing an HVAC system in the school and we’ll start next school year with air-conditioning. All our classrooms will be modernized with new furnishings that will allow for more “pro-social” collaboration amongst our students. Mark your calendars for either November 1 at 5:30 p.m. or November 10 at 7 p.m. to come to the school to learn more about the modernizing of our classrooms. We are so excited about the possibilities.
