Student Newsletter
Dhani Miller and Isabelle Gidley have published their next edition of their student school newsletter. Here is a link to their March 4, 2022 Edition. Be watching our school newsletter for links to future editions of their student newsletter!

Drop Off
Mornings are such a rush for families and the last thing you want is to get tied up with a fender bender or pedestrian accident. If you are parking, please be sure to escort your child to the sidewalk to ensure their safety. If you are walking your child to the door, please be sure to park your car, rather than leaving it in line, unattended. It is so hard to spot those little ones dodging in between cars. Patience is one of our school expectations, so please help us avoid any mishaps by being patient with one another.

Social Emotional Lessons
Next Tuesday, March 8, the K-3rd grade will continue to talk about anger and how by being socially aware of self and others, they will continue to see how emotions can impact those around us. They will be using a balloon to illustrate different ways to express anger and its effect on others. SE Lessons for the 4th and 6th grade will be canceled for Tuesday due to a scheduling conflict.

Ephesians 4:32: “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.”

Transportation
Waverly Shell-Rock has lifted the federal mandate for wearing masks on school buses so they have removed that expectation on all forms of school transportation.

Lutheran Schools Week: March 7-11

Persevere: Rooted Together in Christ
The Deeper the Roots, the Greater the Fruits
Next week, we will be celebrating Lutheran Schools Week and our 150th School Anniversary. Each morning, we’ll have a short worship service that you all are welcome to attend, 8:35 a.m. We are thankful for our 4th, 5th and 6th graders and their leadership in the services throughout the week. We are also COLLECTING CANS/NON-PERISHABLE items for the Food Pantry. Our goal is at least 150 cans for our 150th anniversary. You can bring them to worship or send them with your child and/or their Grandparents. You are also invited to worship each morning. Stop by and check out the Living Wax Museum which will be set up in the Narthex on Tuesday from 9:15-11 a.m.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Thank you all for attending our second trimester conferences. The teachers have reported how much they appreciate your insights and your partnership in your child’s education as well as in the faith walk. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you or your child(ren).
