Your Gift Matters!
St. Paul’s School Fund raises funds to ensure the school’s mission is fulfilled. Your gift provides tuition assistance, technology, textbooks, and other things needed to ensure a quality education for our students.
Opportunities to participate in events that support the School Fund take place throughout the year. Check out those opportunities below. Scroll further to see ongoing opportunities for support through local and national programs. Thank you for supporting our school and our students.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Spring Social
The Annual Spring Social is an evening of food, fun, and entertainment with a live and silent auction. This event supports technology for the students and staff at St. Paul's School.
Year-end Appeal
The annual appeal letter goes out each December encouraging school families, alumni, past donors, and congregation members to consider a year-end gift to the School Fund.
Fun Walk
The Annual Fun Walk correlates with Iowa’s Healthiest State Walk. The fundraising goal for this event is $5,000 annually to help provide tuition assistance, technology, and textbooks.
Pay It Forward Capital Campaign Provides Renovated Facilities
St. Paul’s three-year Pay It Forward Campaign ended this fall, resulting in completely renovated and updated classrooms throughout our school. These modern, bright, and equipped learning spaces testify to the power of collective giving and will serve our students for years to come.
Modernization
Every classroom features new modern school furniture. Air conditioning ensures a comfortable learning environment; and new classroom flooring creates a soft, calming environment.
Innovative Learning
All classrooms are now equipped with interactive flat-panel screens that provide daily opportunities to bring learning to life. Our very own Keep Watching St. Paul’s news channel utilizes this technology in every classroom as students connect live at 11:45 a.m. for daily announcements, weather, sports, and uplifting trivia. KWSP is entirely student-led, giving our aspiring anchors new opportunities to sharpen their public speaking and our production team valuable technical skills.
Safety & Facilities
We have enhanced our security system and improved the Parish Hall with a new floor and audiovisual system.
Expanding Capacity
To accommodate our expanding enrollment, we purchased an auxiliary building that provides two additional learning spaces for music and the library. Our fifth and sixth grade classrooms are now centralized in their own “middle school” suite, boasting modern amenities and river-view seating.
Our cherished traditions continue, our support remains steady, and our potential is limitless. We are grateful for the many ways your gifts and prayers continue to enrich the lives of the children we serve.
Ways to Give
In addition to monetary gifts, you can support the School Fund in other ways, some of which cost you nothing!

Eligible members can direct their Choice Dollars to St. Paul's Lutheran School. Members become eligible for Thrivent Choice based on insurance premiums, contract values and Thrivent volunteer leadership.
Kwik Star Rewards
Designate St. Paul’s to receive a percentage of your gas and grocery purchases when you sign up for a Kwik Rewards card.
RaiseRight Scrip
St. Paul’s purchases gift cards (Scrip) at a discount and sells the cards at face value. The difference goes to the School Fund. The discount can range from 2 to 15 percent. By purchasing gas, groceries, clothes, gifts and other items with scrip, St. Paul’s friends and families contribute to the school — without spending a cent more.
On average, the School Fund brings in roughly $6,000 per year through Scrip. Our goal is to increase this number through raising awareness about the Scrip Program. The more people who use Scrip, the more money our School Fund generates!
St. Paul's keeps high demand Scrip cards on hand (i.e. Kwik Star, Walmart, Fareway, HyVee, etc.) so you are can purchase them when you need them. Scrip can be purchased using cash or check and is available in the church and school office Monday through Friday during regular business hours. It is also available at the welcome desk in the narthex on Sundays from 9:45-11 a.m.
Hy-Vee Receipts
St. Paul’s collects Hy-Vee receipts. Please drop all your Waverly HyVee receipts to the church or school office. St. Paul’s School Fund receives a percentage of the total of each receipt turned in.
Box Tops for Education
Box Top labels are now digital only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label. If you are a smart phone user please download the Box Tops app. This allows you to simply scan your receipt and get St. Paul's Lutheran School money directly. No need to clip coupons anymore!
