School Fund

The purpose of the St. Paul's Lutheran School Fund is to raise funds to ensure the school's mission is fulfilled. Your gift to the School Fund provides tuition assistance, technology, textbooks, and all those things needed for our children's education. Thank you in advance for joining the hundreds of friends of St. Paul's Lutheran School who offer their prayers and financial support so we can carry out our mission.

Ongoing Opportunities to Support the School Fund

  • Box Top labels are now changing to become digital only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label. If you are a smart phone user please download the Box Tops app. This allows you to simply scan your receipt and get St. Paul's Lutheran School money directly. No need to clip coupons anymore!

  • Turn your Casey’s purchases into donations to St. Paul’s Lutheran School through Casey’s Cash for Classrooms program. Sign up for Casey’s Rewards and turn points earned on everyday purchases into a donation.

  • St. Paul's Lutheran Church & School is continuing to collect Hy-Vee receipts. Please drop off all your Waverly Hy-Vee receipts to the church or school office. St. Paul's will receive a percentage of each receipt turned it.

  • Designate St. Paul’s to receive a percentage of your gas/grocery purchases if you sign up for a Kwik Rewards card.

  • St. Paul’s purchases gift cards (Scrip) at a discount and sells the cards at face value. The difference goes to the School Fund. The discount can range from two to 15 percent. By purchasing gas, groceries, clothes, gifts and other items with scrip, St. Paul’s friends and families contribute to the school — without spending a cent more.

On average, the School Fund brings in roughly $6,000 per year through Scrip. Our goal is to increase this number through raising awareness about the Scrip Program. The more people who use Scrip, the more money our School Fund generates!

St. Paul's keeps high demand Scrip cards on hand (i.e. Kwik Star, Walmart, Fareway, HyVee, etc.) so you are can purchase them when you need them. Scrip can be purchased using cash or check and is available in the church and school office Monday through Friday during regular business hours. It is also available at the welcome desk in the narthex on Sundays from 9:45-11 a.m.

  • Generosity is important to Thrivent and its members. Thrivent Choice provides a platform for members to have a financial impact on the causes and nonprofits they care about. More than 40,000 churches and nonprofits are enrolled in the program, and it keeps growing!

Eligible members can direct their Choice Dollars to St. Paul's Lutheran School. Members become eligible for Thrivent Choice based on insurance premiums, contract values and Thrivent volunteer leadership.
